Most Romantic Long Distance Surprise Proposal Ever

Happy Friday everyone!! I have such a treat for you today to kick off your weekend. This video that I’m sharing has been making the viral rounds today, making hearts a flutter all across the internet.

Omar Kenawi, who is from London, wanted to surprise his long-distance girlfriend Susan Schlegal, who is from LA, with the proposal of her dreams. Susan has always loved musicals and once told him that “she would one day like to find herself in a musical in her real life”. So, Omar decided to surprise his long-distance love with the ultimate flash mob musical proposal.

Susan was on her way to what she thought was a marketing job, and ended up at the Griffith Observatory in LA when bystanders started singing a personalized version of “Seasons of Love” from the musical RENT (Susan’s favourite). These bystanders (who turned out to be an a capella group hired by Omar) were then joined by the couple’s family and friends, much to Susan’s surprise. Omar pulled out all the stops and even hired a videography team to capture the moment. The best part of all, Omar traveled 5437 miles just to surprise Susan with this epic proposal. We can only imagine what he has in store for their wedding day! Check out the video below.

We LOVE proposal videos. So much in fact that we’ve filmed a few of our own (one of which has also gone viral). Check out our posts on them out here and here. If you’d like to know more about our proposal film services, or our engagement and wedding video services, contact us here.

What’s your proposal story? Share away in the comment section. We’d love to hear it!
