One of the Brightside Films team’s favourite wedding moments to capture on film is the grand wedding exit. Whether it’s the big exit down the aisle or the grand send off at the end of the reception, the video is always priceless. There’s always so much joy on everyone’s faces and it’s so fun seeing all the creative ways people do their farewell.
Well, we figured, Hey! We’ve seen it all! Let’s share some of the ideas on the blog. Now, this list isn’t going to include any items that include tossing. Although they make for great video and photos, most venues no longer allow it as it’s a pain to clean up and it puts little critters at risk! Some people toss bird seed thinking this is a good alternative, but alas, lots of birds plus lots of food equals lots of clean up if you catch my drift. Besides, what bride wants to be picking out bird seed or confetti from her hair at 2AM?
One of the most important things to remember when planning a wedding is to make sure it reflects you as a couple. This is definitely one of the areas where you should do this. Get creative and show off your couple style! Do you and the hubs love to canoe? Walk out under an arch of paddles. Are you having a fall wedding and you love the changing leaves? Have guests toss fallen leaves as you leave. Remember, this is your last big moment, so go out with a bang!
