Wedding Day Emergency Kit

When it comes to weddings, prepared is always better. It doesn’t matter how much you plan, something (whether big or small) will always come up. When in the planning stages of a wedding I always like to say, plan for the best but anticipate the worst. That may sound pessimistic, but if the unexpected arises and you’re not prepared it could have a snowball effect on your wedding day. On the other hand, if you equip yourself with a plan B and the right tools, you’ll be all set and stress free knowing you’re ready for whatever the day brings!

With that said, in today’s post we are sharing a wedding day survival kit from Style Me Pretty. The kit is complete with a list of all those little things a bride or her bridesmaids didn’t think to bring. This is one of those things that we’d recommend leaving to the experts who’ve seen (and fixed!) it all, and Kristin Banta from Kristin Banta Events has included everything in this list from blister repair to chalk to straws (don’t wan’t to mess up that perfectly applied pout!).

Every bride has different needs, so if this list doesn’t include something you deem necessary, add it in. Some suggestions from the team at Brightside Films who’ve been to a wedding or two are: an easy snack (like granola bars), Vaseline for your teeth (in case the bride is experiencing dry mouth – helps with smiling) and smelling salts (just in case someone feels a little faint).

There are quite a few items in a typical wedding day emergency kit so if you’re planning your own wedding perhaps send this list to your bridesmaids to divvy up instead. Let’s face it – with all the commotion going on, it’s hard enough to remember to bring your own dress, let alone all these little extras.

And remember, if something doesn’t go according to plan on your wedding day, try not to sweat it. Shake it off like the gracious bride you are and have fun regardless!
